This website is about Javea and the surrounding areas, it is a great place for holidays but you may also choose to live there. Content Javea is a town with three centres all great places in their own right all very Spanish and yet individual.
The oldest parts of Javea are the town and the port. More recently there has been a grear deal of development in the Arenal area which is often aclled the Golden Beach.
On this website you will find more information about these three areas of Javea and also information about surrounding parts of Spain in the Northern Costa Blanca which stretches from around Alicante to the Great City of Valencia to which the Region gets its name and the local language of Valenciana.
You will find in the holiday areas of Javea and many other towns along this coast that English is well understood in many shops and restaurants but it can certainly help at times to know a few Spanish Phrases as well. I first visited the town in 1998 and have been returning regularly ever since. During this time the town has grown larger probably by about 20%. It can be classified as a non package tour holiday resort and is frequented by most nationalities, you will meet mainly Spanish, English and German people. The town only has about six hotels most accommodation beingg in self-catering holiday properties often let directly by the owners or through an agent.
Direct to owner letting can be very economical with so many accommodations it is quite competitive, something you should note if you are buying a property to let.
Javea in the Region of Valenci is situated between the towns of Denia and Calpe and can be reached by car by following the N332 which runs just inland from the coast of the Costa Blanca and then following te CV610 to the main town.
The Cabo de Nao with its lighthouse and high point landmarks the Southern end of Javea and is well worth a sightseeing visit.
Javea has a modern Yacht Club with nearly 300 berths and facilities
for water sports such as sailing, fishing, scuba diving, water skiing and
windsurfing.
Javea Golf Club not far from the town is surrounded by orange groves and pine trees.
If you need a change from the beach you can drive out to numerous small villages, orange and lemon groves, mountains and valleys. A trip to the Jalon valley is recommended and a delightful day out. If you are more adventurous you can climb the Montgo mountain and view the stunning landscape.
